Statutory Minimum you have the right to cancel and return any product within 14 days of delivery.

To exercise your right to cancel, you must clearly notify us of your intention to cancel within 14 days of the date of delivery by email or by post. Such a notice must include: your name; address; order number; date of order; date that your product was received. Please note, the address should only be used to notify us - please do not return any products to this address.

45 Night Trial If this is the first time you have purchased a mattress directly from us, as a goodwill gesture, we agree to extend your right to cancel your order of a Sleepology mattress, for any reason, up to 45 days. All we ask is for you to tell us the reason for your cancellation. Failure to provide a reason may delay the collection of your mattress, but ultimately will not void your right to return the mattress under the 45 night trial.

The period to cancel expires at midnight on the 45th day from the date the mattress was delivered.

This right must be exercised within the 45 day period by notifying us of your intention to cancel by email or in writing.

Should you decide sleeping on a Sleepology mattress is not for you, please notify us of your intention to cancel, collection must be arranged and executed no later than 14 days from the date that you notified us of your intent to cancel. Failure to arrange collection (which must be communicated to us), may invalidate your right to cancel the contract. There will be a one off collection fee of £65 inc.of VAT, payment is required prior to collection. Once this fee is paid in full, collection will be arranged and a no hassle collection of goods will take place. You will not be charged collection fee if you are returning the goods within your 14 day statutory rights.

Goods can only be returned via an agreed collection with Sleepology, and cannot be returned to any Sofology store.

Where a claim is made under the mattress guarantee or your statutory rights and a replacement mattress is delivered to you, your 45 night trial will refresh upon receipt/ delivery of the replacement. Claims under these rights will not limit your entitlement to 45 nights (in total) to trial the mattress (or any replacement).

The 45 night trial is offered on the basis of goodwill and, as such, we reserve the right to refuse the 45 night trial, including without limitation, where an individual is associated with a mattress manufacturer/brand.

The 45 night trial applies to mattresses only and no other Sleepology or Sofology products.

Nothing in this clause affects your legal rights to cancel the contract.



If you cancel your contract for sale of the product in accordance with your statutory rights or under the 45 night trial, subject to these terms, we will refund you all payments received from you in relation to the contract, including the costs of delivery, except for any supplementary costs arising because you chose a Special Delivery option. The one off collection £65 fee applies prior to collection.  

Where you have received a partial refund for late delivery or other issues with the order process, this is given as a goodwill gesture and as such the value of the partial refund will be deducted from the value of any full refund you would have been entitled to upon seeking to return the product.

Where you have ordered products under any of our special promotions or at a discounted price, you are entitled to either return all products and receive a full refund, or alternatively receive a refund for any products that have been returned to Sofology.

We will refund you without undue delay, and not later than:

  • 14 days after the day we received back from you any products supplied, or
  • If earlier, 14 days after the day you provide evidence that you have returned the products, or
  • If there were no products supplied, 14 days after the day on which you notified us of your intention to cancel the contract.

We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment you used for the initial transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise. In any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of the reimbursement save those specified.

If you have received a mattress, we will ask you to communicate an appropriate date for collection, which must be no later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your cancellation. If the date you proposed is agreed by us, we will collect the products on the date stipulated without undue delay. Failure to communicate with us to arrange collection within the period allowed may void your rights to a return under the 45 night trial.

If a product is damaged or faulty or not what you ordered:

We request that you inspect your product delivered to you within a reasonable period of receiving it. If the product you have received from us: was damaged when delivered; or develops a fault within the warranty period, please notify us, at our cost, either by post or by requesting that we collect the product from you.

We will replace it with an equivalent product, if possible; or if it is not possible to replace it with an equivalent product, we will refund any sums paid to us by you, and any provider of credit facilities, in respect of the purchase price for the product and any charges for delivering the product to you.

If we discover that a product you have returned to us on the basis that it was damaged or faulty is not in fact damaged or faulty, we may: return it to you and cancel any refund that you have requested, or if we have already refunded you, we may recharge you for the product and the original delivery costs, using the payment information provided to us when you placed your order; and charge you for the costs of returning the product to us and of redelivering the product to you.

If a product you have received from us is not the product which you ordered please notify us and return the product, either by post or by requesting that we collect the product from you, and

(a) we will deliver the product which you ordered, if possible; or

(b) if it is not possible to deliver the product which you ordered, we will refund the purchase price and any delivery costs.



Sleepology mattresses are a perfect example of advanced mattress technology carefully engineered to give you the best night’s sleep. However, to give you further peace of mind, we are so confident that you will be satisfied with your mattress that we will replace any faulty mattress which falls within the scope of our 2 year guarantee as set out below.



This guarantee is in addition to, and does not affect, your basic statutory rights in relation to faulty goods and the Consumer Contracts Act for UK customers.

This guarantee is effective from the date of delivery and expires 2 years from that date.

This guarantee relates to Sleepology mattresses only and not to any other goods sold by Sleepology or Sofology.

This guarantee is for your benefit, as the original purchaser, only and is not transferable to any other person. If you sell or otherwise relinquish ownership of the mattress, the subsequent owner accepts the product ‘as is’, including all faults, and will not be able to benefit from this guarantee.


Scope of guarantee:

This guarantee may be revoked where your Sleepology mattress exhibits one or more of the following material defects due to faulty workmanship or materials:

  1. the surface of the mattress has a visible indentation of greater than 25 millimetres compared to the surrounding mattress area;
  2. any physical flaws in the mattress that cause the foam to split or crack;
  3. any material manufacturing defect in the zip;
  4. any manufacturing defect to the cover which causes it to rip, tear, split or the zip to malfunction despite proper handling; and/or
  5. any other defects in the materials or workmanship which are not attributable to the mattress being treated with a lack of reasonable care.



This guarantee does not apply where one or more of the following circumstances apply:

  1. the fault complained of relates to the normal softening of the mattress with age; attributable to the settling of the materials or otherwise;
  2. the fault complained of is normal wear and tear which could reasonably be expected to result from the mattress being used in accordance with our instructions;
  3. the fault is the result of any kind of accident, abuse, negligence or wilful damage;
  4. the fault is the result of a force majeure or act of nature beyond our control, including but not limited to fires, floods or natural disasters;
  5. the mattress is in a soiled or unsanitary condition;
  6. the fault results from the sealed zip cover of the mattress having been tampered with; and/or
  7. the complaint relates to comfort preferences or localised firmness changes in the mattress.



This guarantee is automatically invalidated in the following circumstances:

where the mattress is not used for its intended purpose as a mattress for sleeping on or is used in a manner contrary to our instructions;

  1. where the mattress is used without reasonable care. A user will be considered to have lacked reasonable care in circumstances which include but are not limited to the following:
    (i) use without bed linen;
    (ii) use with an old or unsuitable bed base;
    (iii) the mattress being, handled or otherwise dealt with improperly; and/or
    (iv) any other treatment which could be considered to lack the requisite degree of reasonable care;
  2. where you attempt to alter or repair the mattress without consent or attempt to clean the mattress with improper cleaning products or techniques (see our FAQ section for details);
  3. where the mattress is sold by anyone other than Sleepology or an authorised retailer.



We're sorry to hear that you might be considering returning your mattress.  We do recommend that you give your mattress up to 45 nights before requesting a return as any mattress can take a while to adapt to.
