Introducing our new, innovative and sustainable Ultraflex Encore seat fillings

Introducing our new, innovative and sustainable Ultraflex Encore seat fillings

At Sofology, we’re focused on giving our customers sustainable sofa options that don’t compromise on style or comfort. The launch of our Sustainable Edit collection in 2021, gave our customers the opportunity to have a sofa that looks beautiful, feels amazing but has a reduced impact on the environment - but we haven’t stopped there.

We are now the first sofa retailer in the UK to introduce a new, innovative seat option for our Infinity sofa range - Ultraflex Encore. This seat filling is a more sustainable foam alternative, offering all of the benefits of foam with a reduced environmental footprint. Offering added breathability due to its porous non-woven structure, Ultraflex Encore provides a more firm and supportive sit than the current Quallofil® Blue fibre fillings available on these ranges, and is made from 20% recycled polyester with plastic bottle content.

These high performance Ultraflex Encore fibres are carefully engineered in a sweeping ‘S’ shape, to create a structure with unrivalled, long lasting comfort and cushions which bounce back into shape with minimal plumping required. The addition of Ultraflex Encore seat fillings alongside Quallofil® Blue fibre fillings, which offer a more sink-in relaxation level, gives our customers more choice as they find a sofa they love. What’s more, both fillings are recyclable at the end of their use.

From the 100% recycled fabric to the recycled and recyclable cushion fillings, Sustainable Edit sofas like our Bramley, Vision and Infinity ranges are the start of a brighter, more sustainable future in sofa retail, and we’re excited to be at the forefront of introducing these sustainable innovations for our customers.
