We think everyone deserves to have a safe and secure place to relax, which is why we work with Home-Start to help struggling children and families receive support in their homes during difficult times. Home-Start volunteers are vital in assisting these families to ensure they have enough support to help them through their challenges and issues.
About Home-Start
Supporting Volunteering
Every Sofology customer has the opportunity to donate as much or as little as they like to Home-Start when placing their orders, through our partnership with Pennies, the digital charity box. This money will go towards helping Home-Start support vulnerable families and children through their trained volunteers. Home-Start co-ordinates 10,000 specially trained volunteers that support 44,000 children and 22,000 families annually.
For Volunteers’ Week 2025, we sat down on our sofa for a cuppa and a chat with Home-Start and some of their volunteers to hear about their work and the impact it can have.
How we’re supporting Home-Start
To support Home-Start directly, Sofology donates sofas every month to families in need nominated by Home-Start. What’s more, Sofologists across the U.K. will take part in various fundraising activities to help give Home-Start the vital financial support they need to do their work.

As a Charity Champion, I help spread the word about the vital support Home-Start provides and work with our teams to make sure we’re doing all we can to help.
