An equal world is an enabled world. This year, International Women’s Day are running a campaign focused around #EachforEqual, highlighting that actively choosing to combat stereotypes, fight bias and celebrate the achievements of women, can help to create a gender equal world.

This year, we wanted to focus on a mixture of women from different departments in Sofology, and gave them the task of writing a letter to their sixteen-year-old selves. Insightful, courageous and emotional, these messages of hope and determination highlight our need for an equal and enabled world.

Jan Duckworth, Head of Marketing

“Did you ever know where you were heading? Hell no… One thing you did have by the bucket load, but never really realised it, was drive and determination in abundance.”

Sophie Hill, Sales Consultant Hull Store

“I won’t lie, it’s going to be tough. You will feel like giving up at times, and people will not make it easy for you. Never be afraid to ask for help, grab every opportunity offered to you.”
