This year, our team avoided the hectic Black Friday sales, and instead spent their Sofology Volunteer Days planting trees with the Woodland Trust.
At Swindells Wood in Billington, the team helped to create new native woodland by planting hundreds of trees, not only helping with the fight against climate change but providing a future home for wildlife like moths, butterflies and small mammals.
What’s more, getting outside and planting trees is great for physical and mental health, which is why these volunteer days are so important to us.
We’re planting trees
In partnership with the Woodland Trust, together we’ve helped schools and communities across the UK plant almost 485,000 trees over 4 years! Trees play a part in tackling the climate crisis, but they’re also a vital habitat for birds, animals, other plants and fungi.
