La-Z-Boy In Store Giveaway Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions (Terms and Conditions) of Sofology Limited (company number 1778734) whose registered office is at Ashton Road, Golborne, Warrington, WA3 3UL (Sofology, We or Us) apply exclusively to the [La-Z-Boy In Store Giveaway] (the Prize Draw). Sofology is the promoter of the Prize Draw.

These Terms and Conditions prevail in the event of any conflict or inconsistency with any other communications, including advertising or promotional materials, relating to the Prize Draw. By entering the Prize Draw you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please retain a copy of these Terms and Conditions for your information.

Eligibility

The Prize Draw is open to United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland residents aged 18 or over except for (i) employees of Sofology and its associated, affiliated or subsidiary companies and their families; and (ii) agents or any other person(s) connected with the Prize Draw, including third party promotional partners. Entrants will need their own email address. Winners may be required to submit valid identification before receiving their prize.

Opening / closing date and time 

Entry will open at 00:00 on 4th February 2026 and will close at 11.59pm on 18th March 2026 (the Prize Draw Period). Entries received outside of the Prize Draw Period will not be counted.

Sofology reserves the right to terminate, withdraw, update or amend the Prize Draw and these Terms and Conditions at any time. We will provide as much notice as reasonably possible for any such termination, withdrawal, update or amendment, which shall be advertised on this website so please check regularly.

How to participate

To enter the Prize Draw entrants need to scan the QR code displayed in store and then click on the link to visit the Sofology Prize Draw webpage at https://www.sofology.co.uk/la-z-boy-giveaway. On the webpage, entrants then need to complete and submit the Prize Draw entry form. Entrants will be required to provide an email address. 

No purchase is necessary to enter the Prize Draw.

We will not accept any responsibility whatsoever for entries that are lost or any technical failure or malfunction or any other problem with any network or system, server, provider or otherwise which may result in any entry not being received or delayed until after the Prize Draw closes. We will not accept proof of transmission as proof of receipt of entry to the Prize Draw.

We will not reimburse any expenses incurred in making an entry to this Prize Draw. Entrants should be aware that they may be subject to data charges depending on their own individual arrangements for internet access.

Only one entry will be accepted per person. Second or subsequent entries will automatically be disqualified. Bulk, automatically generated or third-party entries are void.

Selecting a winner 

There will only be one (1) winner (the Winner). The Winner will be selected from all eligible entries by an electronic random draw shortly after the end of the Prize Draw Period. 

The Winner will be notified by us by email. We require the Winner to respond to our email. If the Winner cannot be contacted or no response is received from the Winner within 5 days, then we reserve the right to select another winner by way of a second draw. This process will be repeated until a winner is found. 

We do not accept responsibility if the winner is not able to take up the Prize.

Our decision as to who the winner is, is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.

The Prize

The prize is a voucher for the value of £5,000 to spend on the La-Z-Boy range at Sofology (the Prize). 

The voucher can be used to order one or more items of furniture from the La-Z-Boy range at Sofology but must be spent in one transaction. The winner should place their order via email or in a Sofology store (the winner should notify the Sofology team via email which store they wish to spend the voucher in prior to making their purchase). The winner must place their order within [6] months of the end of the Prize Draw Period. 

The winner may choose items of furniture from the La-Z-Boy range at Sofology totalling more than the value of the voucher if they wish, and pay the additional amount in full prior to delivery, or via an interest free credit arrangement with one of Sofology’s standard interest free credit partners. The lead times for delivery of the products to the winner will be subject to the estimated lead times given at the time of the order being placed.

If the winner has already placed an order for one or more items of furniture from the La-Z-Boy range at Sofology during the Prize Draw Period, then the value of such order up to a limit of £5,000 will be either (i) reimbursed to the winner if the winner paid for their order in cash; or (ii) deducted from the winner’s outstanding interest free credit balance. 

There are no cash alternatives to the Prize and it is not transferable or refundable. 

Sofology will be responsible for the cost of delivery and care products.

Personal data 

Personal details provided to Sofology in relation to this Prize Draw will be processed and used in accordance with Sofology’s Privacy Policy.  Please read this carefully before proceeding. These can be found on our website at https://www.sofology.co.uk/privacy-policy. By entering the Prize Draw you consent to such processing.

Sofology must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation Sofology will publish the surname and county of each winner on the Sofology website as soon as reasonably possible after the Prize Draw ends. If you are a winner and you object to your surname and county being published, please contact Sofology [email protected]. In such circumstances, Sofology must still provide the information to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.

General

The decision of Sofology regarding any aspect of the Prize Draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it. 

If any part of these Terms and Conditions is legally ruled to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, the remainder of these terms and conditions will not be affected and will continue in full force and effect.

Sofology reserves the right to suspend, cancel or amend this Prize Draw or to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time without notice due to circumstances beyond its control. Sofology is not responsible for any third-party acts or omissions.

Sofology will not be liable for any delay or failure to comply with its obligations in these terms and conditions for reasons beyond its reasonable control arising from but not limited to Acts of God, global or regional epidemic or pandemic, adverse weather conditions, fire, industrial dispute, war, terrorist activity, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, plague or other natural calamities, or any other circumstances.

Insofar as is permitted by law, Sofology will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any disappointment, loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of a winner taking up a prize except where it is caused by the negligence of Sofology or its employees. Your statutory rights are not affected. 

These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
